Functional Safety Expert
Leading provider in the global automotive industry specialising in electrification and hybridization is looking for a Functional Safety Expert to join their dynamic team in Austria.
In this role, you are responsible for a cross-site development of the topic of functional safety and support its holistic implementation in the organization.
During the concept and series development phase, you act as a contact person is for the project team, suppliers and customers.
Other responsibilities include:
Functional Safety Engineering
- Analysis and assessment of customer security requirements
- Support in product design from the point of view of functional safety
- Execution and support in performing security analysis at the system, subsystem, hardware and software level (e.B. FMEA, FTA, DFA, FMEDA)
- Specification of functional and technical safety requirements
- Definition of the functional and technical safety concept
- Coordination of the safety concept with customers and suppliers
- Supporting hardware development from a functional safety perspective
- Support for software-level development from the point of view of functional safety
- Support for series production, purchasing and quality in production, operation and maintenance planning with a focus on the functional safety of the product
- Participation in internal/external assessments and audits
Functional Safety Management
- Moderation and preparation of an internal preliminary hazard and risk analysis
- Creation of the safety plan and coordination of work packages with the project managers
- Coordination and implementation of review activities
- Planning, coordination and implementation of internal/external assessments and audits
- Support the development team on product safety approval issues
- Participate in Change and Concern Control Meetings to assess and plan defects and changes
- Contact for questions on normative questions (IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ...)
- Contributing to the continuous improvement and maintenance of processes
Requirements:
Well-founded technical training TU/FH (mechatronics, electrical engineering, etc.)
Experience with ISO 26262 and ISO 15504 (SPICE) requirements
Ideally experience with electric drive systems and their architecture
Ideally relevant professional experience in the automotive environment or in the field of drive technology
Good German and English skills
