Autostream is currently looking for an experienced Firmware/Test Engineer, to join a Semiconductor company specialized in developing state of the art microelectronics for high speed communications over large core Plastic Optical Fiber, based in Madrid, Spain.
As a member of the R&D team, you will be in charge of the development of embedded firmware on integrated circuits microprocessors, as well as development of the test programs used in production testing.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Development of the continuous integration tests of the microprocessor's firmware during ASIC prototyping.
*Participate in specification and review of the PCBs.
*Automation of laboratory measurements using programming languages like Matlab, TCL, Python.
-Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
-Experience in embedded programming, using both high level programming languages (C/C++) and assembler.
-Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems and experience in software development for time-bound systems.
-Code optimization (memory footprint and execution time).
-Analysis of PCB schematics.
- Languages: (M4, R, TCL, Python, Matlab, Visual Basic for Applications, shell scripting languages).
-Problem solving, debugging skills are a must.
-Experience using laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes and power supplies).
-Fluent written and verbal English communication skill is a must: all internal documentation is written in English.
-Basic knowledge of lex&yacc.
-Knowledge of a Hardware Description Languages (Verilog or VHDL).
-Experience in development of low level drivers for Linux operating system.
