Electronic Design Supervisor job in England

The role is for a leading supplier in the global automotive industry which offers a comprehensive range of services in the design, development, testing and manufacture of complex powertrain and transmission systems (e-mobility).
About the role
As an experienced hardware engineer in the innovative electrification sector, you are closely involved in the development of new mobility concepts for the future. As an important part of the expert team, you are not only responsible for the development of the inverter, but you are a key driver for the development, organization and development of the team. Through your leadership expertise, you are a reliable partner in the field of hardware development - from the analysis of customer requirements to series release.

Your main tasks include:
* Development of inverters for electric traction drives (voltages < 1000V, I < 600A)
* Technical and disciplinary management of the Inverter Electronics development team
* Responsibility for further development, development and qualification of the employees in the team
* Execution of approvals and technical reviews
* Integration of new technologies in product development
* Optimization and improvement (CIP) of the existing development process according to Automotive Spice HW
* Ensuring the resources requested for the projects to achieve the project objectives
* Support of department management in investment and budget planning
* Close cooperation with external partners, suppliers and clients

Requirements
* Completed studies (TU/FH) or HTL with several years of experience in leading a development team
* Professional experience in team management of a development team electronics, ideally in the automotive environment
* In-depth knowledge of the product development process
* Experience with requirement management tools DOORS, PTC Integrity and Altium Designer is an advantage
* Proactive action, prioritisation and decision-making
* Strong communication strength and teamwork
